Jiawei Zheng, Jiazhen Zhang, Gokcen Yilmaz, and Saeema Ahmed-Kristensen represented DIGIT Lab at the 2025 HCI International Conference in Gothenburg, Sweden (June 22–27).

Research Highlights: Two cutting-edge studies on AI by DIGITLab researchers were presented and will be published in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series:

Paper 1: Jiawei Zheng, Gokcen Yilmaz, Ji Han, Saeema Ahmed-Kristensen, Digital Transformation Chatbot (DTChatbot): Integrating Large Language Model-based Chatbot in Acquiring Digital Transformation Needs, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, HCII, Gothenburg, Sweden, June 22–27, 2025.

Jiawei Zheng introduced an AI-based chatbot designed to streamline digital transformation consultations for organisations. The tool, developed to identify organisational needs for digital transformation, has an agent-based architecture which received significant interest. Its code and resources will be released soon. Paper 2: Jiazhen Zhang, Ji Han, Saeema Ahmed-Kristensen, Chain-Of-Thought For Design Creativity Evaluation, Lecture Notes in Computer Science, HCII, Gothenburg, Sweden, June 22–27, 2025.

Jiazhen Zhang demonstrated a method that leverages Large Language Models (LLMs) and chain-of-thought reasoning to assess creativity in design tasks. The approach embeds a systematic evaluation of novelty, offering new insights for creative industries.
